Vintage Christmas Postcard
From Rockport, Indiana, to Tulsa, Oklahoma

| Here's another holiday postcard that was
lovingly preserved, this time by Mrs. Grace KEHRER. This one features
bright red poinsettias and a snow-covered cottage scene.
Signed "Xmas greeting from Alberta K. HUFFMAN," this card was sent to Mrs. Grace KEHRER of Tulsa, Oklahoma. I bought this with a group of other Rockport-related postcards, and I believe that Miss Grace REYNOLDS married some time during the year of 1911, took the new surname KEHRER, and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Cards from 1910 and 1909 are addressed to Grace REYNOLDS. Alberta HUFFMAN sent Grace this greeting from her hometown of Rockport that Christmas, and the card is postmarked in Rockport: December 25, 1911, and it bears a one cent stamp. It was printed in Germany. |
